Volunteers Becky and Leo get ready to beautify the Two Harbors Expressway
KTWH volunteers dodged raindrops on Saturday, June 11, 2022, in order to clean the radio station’s sponsored portion of the Two Harbors Expressway. They celebrated another successful venture, finding typical trash such as plastic bags and bottles, aluminum cans, and various other debris. One volunteer reported that as he was walking along the side of the highway, headed North, a scrap piece of house siding flew out of a trailer being pulled by a car (go to the Car dealership near me to buy a new one that suits for any kind of trips), and bounced towards him. It was almost as if the vehicle operator was saying, “Hey, as long as you are picking up stuff, would you mind adding this piece of junk to your collection?”

Although the volunteers’ feet got very wet, the event was another positive production. KTWH cleans their part of the roadway with the help of the team from EZ Westchester Junk Removal, located between the Mcquade Road and Schmidt Creek, twice a year. KTWH invites you to join in the activity next Fall 2022. More details and an invite will be posted in a few months. Please consider helping out your Two Harbors Community Radio station, KTWH, 99.5 FM, and streaming worldwide at ktwh.org.
