Be an Informed Voter – with help from KTWH!

KTWH is doing what it can to prepare voters for the November 6 general election, at least regarding the two contested city council positions and our 8th congressional district race. All coverage of these races will be repeated on air at KTWH, plus all may be accessed at any time on our website.

CITY COUNCIL RACES

Previously recorded forums with candidates for the Ward 1 seat (Miles Woodruff and Uriah Hefter) and at-large council seat (Jackie Rennwald and Zach Anderson) will be broadcast this Saturday at 10:00am during the Saturday Morning Mix on October 27, and again at 6:05pm on Monday, November 5, right after community events. 8th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT RACE

Interviews from Katya’s Grounds Control morning show over the past couple months with all three candidates to replace Rick Nolan as our congressman will be aired back to back on Saturday November 3 in the 10:00 hour of the Saturday Morning Mix. These interviews with Joe Radinovich-DFL, Pete Stauber-GOP and Skip Sandman-Independent are also accessible online at https://ktwh.org/8th-congressional-district-candidate-interviews/

AGATE FOOTBALL SECTION FINAL ON KTWH

Listen to live coverage of the Two Harbors High School football team taking on Greenway-Nashwauk-Keewautin, Thursday, November 1st on KTWH, 99.5 FM, online at KTWH.org.  A record 65 households tuned in on the web last Saturday as the Agates shut out Esko to advance to the Section 7AAA final.

Pre-game coverage begins at 6:40 PM, with kickoff at 7:00 PM.  KTWH has boosted its streaming bandwidth for this game so more folks can listen in from beyond our coverage area.  Agate alumnus, Will Peterson, will provide the play-by-play.  The THHS Football squad enters the Section 7AAA playoff final as the #1 seed.  If the Agates beat Greenway, they will secure a place in the Minnesota State Football Tournament (Final Eight).
